Cherrell, a community organizer and social justice educator hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. she/her/hers.
Cherrell first came to movement work over a decade ago working at the intersections of anti-Black State violence and environmental justice.
Her entry point into movement work was state violence, primarily ending the Death Penalty as she was a student organizer during the Troy Davis campaign.
Her superpower is being able to blame literally anything on Capitalism and facilitating. She believes radical honesty, embracing conflict and following those closest to the problem will get us free.
Cherrell’s love for student-loan debt has earned her a BA in Political Science from North Carolina A&T State University, and an MA in Human Rights from the University of London.
When she’s not turning up on the system, you can find her at home attempting to recreate something she saw on The Great British Bake Off, and being a mom to her infant baby, DSP’s unofficial Executive Director, Fox.
