Ciara Taylor

Ciara Taylor is a popular educator, grassroots organizer and artist. Ciara first became politically active in 2003 in opposition to the Iraq War and has continued organizing around issues pertaining to militarism, mass incarceration, poverty, and the protection of the most vulnerable in our society. In 2012, Ciara co-founded the Dream Defenders, a Florida-based youth organization that emerged after the killing of 17-year old Trayvon Martin. Through the Dream Defenders, Ciara was able to participate in their first delegation to Palestine in 2015.

Ciara currently resides in New York City and works as the Membership Manager for the People's Forum, a political education and cultural center in Midtown Manhattan.
